Franklyn, Caroline

Caroline Franklyn is a UK-based composer and arranger whose work blends a deep understanding of instrumental textures with a commitment to accessible, expressive writing. A graduate of Trinity College of Music, Caroline trained in flute and piano, performing in renowned London venues and building a long-standing chamber music partnership with harpist Sioned Williams.
Her arrangements are regularly featured by wind ensembles, most notably the Palace Band, an all-woodwind group she conducts in North London. Caroline crafts vibrant, well-balanced scores tailored to both amateur and semi-professional players, often premiering new works in collaboration with contemporary composers such as Paul Harris and Cecilia McDowall. Her published arrangements are available through Clifton Edition, where her catalogue reflects a distinctive voice rooted in clarity, musicality, and ensemble sensitivity.
Beyond her creative output, Caroline is a dedicated educator and ensemble leader, inspiring musicians of all ages through teaching and performance.
