Koželuch, Johann Anton

Johann Anton Koželuch (1747 – 1818), known as ‘the masterly contrapuntist’, was born in what is now the Czech Republic. He was a composer and organist who taught in Prague and in 1784 he became Kapellmeister in Prague Cathedral. He wrote operas, church music and is known for his bassoon and piano concertos.
