Description

The Variations on a Theme by Joseph Haydn, also known as the Saint Anthony Variations, is a work in the form of a Theme and Variations, composed in 1873 in Bavaria. It consists of a theme in Bb major based on a “Chorale St Antoni”, eight variations, and a finale. The work was originally published in two versions: for two pianos (Op. 56B), and for orchestra (Op. 56A). This arrangement by Martin Gatt for wind quintet and piano was first published by Phylloscopus Publications in 2017 (PP839). Full score and set of 5 wind parts plus a separate piano part.
