Andante and Variations is a chamber music work composed by Pietro Bottesini (1792–1874), the father of the famed double bass virtuoso Giovanni Bottesini.

The work is scored for Flute, Clarinet, and Strings (usually two violins, viola, and cello), the version here is for Flute, Clarinet, and Pian).

The piece typically begins with a lengthy Introduzione featuring “bel canto” melodies for the wind players, followed by a theme and a set of four variations.

Composed around 1831, the style is heavily influenced by Italian opera masters like Rossini and Donizetti, serving as a virtuoso showcase for the flute and clarinet.
