Ballata romana is a contemporary chamber music composition by German composer Jürg Baur (1918–2010), written in 1960.

The work consists of five movements where three short slow movements alternate with two fast “Burlettas” and is noted for utilizing twelve-tone technique and was heavily influenced by the style of Anton Webern.

The piece is approximately 10 minutes long. It is categorized as a high-difficulty work making it suitable for professional concerts and advanced contests.
