Description

Composed in 1725 for the Second Sunday after Epiphany,  this chorale cantata is based on the hymn by Martin Moller, published in 1587, and includes additional stanzas by an unknown poet. The cantata is structured in six movements and scored for SATB choir, soloists, and a Baroque orchestra of horns, oboes, strings, and continuo. The third movement features a beautiful duet for soprano and alto voices.
