Description

Summer’s Lease by Mary Chanlder is a book of Impressionistic variations for solo oboe. Three movements: Morning, Noon and Nightfall. This is not programme music, but there are suggestions of gradually increasing birdsong (cuckoo etc.) in Morning, of bees buzzing in Noon and of falling asleep amid night noises in Nightfall.
